If your ophthalmologist diagnoses any of the following in your eyes, you are a good candidate for vitrectomy.

•    diabetic retinopathy, especially in case of retinal hemorrhage or traction
•     retinal detachment
•    intraocular infection
•    severe eye injuries
•    macular pucker
•    macular hole
•    eye disorders after cataract surgery
